Not too long until we are back bobbing about in venues, in the meantime Deathwave entrainment have released this poster for the upcoming show in April.
MNFM have featured "change your fate" on show 73 of their podcast!!! the show has long been a fave of mine and features unsigned bands from across the uk. I would definitely advise you to catch this if your looking for some new music to get your teeth into.
Ogg the podcast presenter also runs glass house productions which is a studio based in the northwales area helping metal bands. get them added to your facebook friends.
I woke up this morning to the hellish screams of our cats hissing and spitting at a rogue cat who had climbed through the cat flap, not the best thing to happen with a class4 beer hangover, but ah well this sunday and so I check all the usual SN messages and catch up on few missed status updates.
Then I turn to my email and low and behold my old friend Mr Ruauri from the Dept of Design has been kind enough to send some of the touched up photographs he had done for us.
I have to admit these pictures have far exeeded any of our expectation and hes really captured what we were after, in fact if your in a band, need a graphic designer or just generally looking to have a creative mind on board with a project I would strongly recommend this guy to you, just look!!!
Just had a bit of good news!! Were confirmed to open for Odin’s Blood at Manchester academy on the 24th October, this will be an awesome addition do our deathly cold winter shows, very apt!!
We’ve created a number of various events on the on the SN tree, keep your eyes peeled, Tickets can be bought either from the band, or be clicking this well know saying…
Ive had to stop recording the album, it hardly seems worth it now, we must fight to survive!
Ive sent this to the other survivors today:
More and more Survivors are joining the fight and things are gathering momentum for the night looks like there could be a war on the horizon, but how do we combat them? On Friday head down to Drakes, dress as one of them crazies it’s the best way to sneak passed them, their aggressive but dumb as hell. We’re going to need to check you for infection when you get here, it’s just a precaution but if we’re going to beat this we’ve got to be able to get rid of any chance of the infection spreading.
Saturday we fight back!!! we need combat gear and weapons, lots of weapons! Doesn’t worry the drink will make you stronger, we’ve got the old man mixing up a cocktail of cure and adrenalin, and I’ve had some it makes you feel like you can take on elephant. Signs are beginning to show as we slowly edge toward Armageddon. Last week there was an article in the champion about swine flu on the rise, the lies are starting and the UK is starting to crumble, I will try and contact you again but the web is unsecure, look for the man and the sandwich board for more information.
I pray this is taken seriosly!! Im going to scope out the safe house tonight and look for places to hide, the man with sandwich board will be the key!!
New media to be released, as part of our Zombie evening!
Flyers should be with us in the next 2 weeks and we intend to pass them out within the next month, The night is shaping up and we intend to have a lot going on, I cant mention more than that im afraid.
If it’s a zombie infestation, the cops, firemen, and ambulance men will all be rather busy, or dead. When the first zombies are seen, the police will take them to hospitals. Do not lock yourself in your apartment and wait for the police to save you. Do not cooperate with the authorities. They know nothing about zombies, as they believe that zombies are a myth.
2. Get armed
You do not want to face zombies and be unarmed, even if they are not so smart or quick or powerful, they will be too dangerous to fight bare handed. Firearms are good, but you should also have some side weapons you can use if you run out of bullets, or if they get too close. Anything’s good: knives, swords, axes or even poleaxes if you know how to use one properly. Blunt weapons are also good, but you must wear protection goggles and a mask, or something to protect your face from the splash.
3. Get armored
You must try to protect your body as much as you can, especially the neck, arms and legs. These are the most exposed parts to bite. You can find lots of body armor from army surplus shops, or even martial arts and hunting shops. Jeans also offer good protection from bites.
4. Leave town
If the zombie infestation caught you in a big town, you must leave immediately. It’s one thing to face 10 zombies, but another thing to face 10000 zombies. Best thing is to go to the country. Farms are quite easy to defend, and the open spaces won’t let you get caught by surprise.
5. Gather supplies
Gather as many supplies as you can. Everything from bottled water to gas – you will need it. And it won’t be hard to do it…if everyone’s dead it won’t be stealing! Best thing is to get a truck and start looting the largest stores in the area. Don’t go into big towns, and don’t start looting until you are 100% sure there won’t be a zombie attack, let alone a big one! You don’t want the authorities to stop the attack, nor do you want to end up in jail for looting.
6. Barricade
Some barbed wire and a whole bunch of gas filled bottles can do wonders when defending your resort from a zombie attack. Also, alarms are a very good idea. You can make them yourself (some cans and pots on a wire) or get a real one, motion sensors and everything (see number 5 for looting tips – Gas and Generator required).
7. Search for survivors
After you have enough supplies, and your home and the surroundings are safe, you should start searching for survivors. Even if you are the only one of your group still alive, you’ll end up going mad if you remain alone. Start with the small towns around you. It will be quite easy if you have a zombie proof car. Just go to the town limits and honk. If zombies are there, they will head in your direction and you can just leave; alternatively you will recognize the survivors and can form a group. Safety in numbers!

With the chain saw running, you are holding an extremely dangerous implement. You should remember this at all times. When the chain is turning at full throttle it passes each tooth through the flesh at least 10 times per second. There are at least 60 teeth on the average chain. Whilst this has the desired effect on a Zombie it would do considerable damage to your body.
When holding a running chain saw, make sure you keep the chain brake engaged until you are ready to cut. When you’re actually cutting, ensure the chain saw is running at full throttle. This will reduce the chances of the chain saw binding or kicking back once you hit bone. The chain saw should also never be allowed to touch the ground. Please be aware that a zombie’s flesh is significantly softer than our own, try and keep your slices controlled and aim for the head and neck area.
Phrases to use when branding a chainsaw include:
“suck on this!”
“You damn crazies what did you do??, WHAT DID YOU DO??!!”
“Choke on ‘em, Choke on ‘em!!!”
“hahHAHHahahAHHAHaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAH!!!”
Wearing the correct protective clothing is also important when using a chain saw. Your head and face need particular protection from any flying debris like blood, skull and vomit, but by the same token, a chain saw can do a great deal of damage to legs and arms if not properly under control. Hockey masks and ear protectors are all good ideas. Also refrain from wearing baggy clothing which may risk being caught in the moving chain saw.
Avoid Chain saw kickback, follow the paramount rule: Do not allow the upper quadrant of the chain saw nose to touch your victim or any other obstacle. If a tooth passing this fulcrum point suddenly encounters a particular tough area of the body, it can effectively stop the chain, passing all the motion of the chain into the body of the chain saw, which recoils violently upward toward the operator. For this reason and because your hand may not be able to activate the chain break, it is a good idea to position your body so that, the chain saw can pass relatively harmlessly through the body, and straight up towards the head and neck.
The key point is always to be aware and alert when using a chain saw. Following a few simple steps will make chain saw use much safer and much much much more fun.
Why Drakes Bar is the natural choice for a safe house?
Ok there is a reason for this, the building itself is very high and well built meaning that when the undead rise up, the building itself will create maximum protection against the horde.
Professor James Talbot of Southport’s research laborites, Kensington rd said “the infrastructure of Drakes unique Victorian design will be a safe and strategically sound choice in the event of Armageddon. And the tunes and drinks will be wicked awesome and banging!”
Drakes on the night will be protected by security staff protecting the perimeter, we know that this place will most probably be the epicenter of where the zombies will filter too due to large amount of people that gather on West street during a Friday & Saturday evening. The technical drawing below shows various points of entry during the zombie attack, it may be wise to dress as a zombie on the night to make it easier to sneak passed the undead, just make sure you make the guards aware that you are alive be shouting the password “braiiiiiiiiiins.”
It seems Ironic that the end of the world will be on my birthday.
Zombie Apocalypse (Halloween Armageddon) Drakes 30th October Sa-da-ko, Risedeadman
Ok, so we are about midway thru recording the album at the moment things are in full swing, I still can’t issue a release date though but what I can tell you is that we still aiming for the end of October.
Which brings me on to the weird bogs I’ve been posting, we are currently organizing a small gig in our home town for Halloween so I apologies if the blogs are a bit random, but it’s just my attempt at viral marketing.
We’ve got quite a lot planned for the night including zombie related prizes, cheap drinks and a few surprises, as soon as I can say more Ill post it on here.
What about this bloody video?
Ah I’m glad you asked, we gathered together just before the weekend to see our 2nd to last draft, all is looking great and were really happy with the results, it’s just down to Tim at Dunloe productions to do the final tweaking and we can start rolling it out and show everyone the fruits of our labor.
Rauri from The Dept of Design is still away sunning it up in a far away land, which means we’ve had to bite our fingers patiently for our photographs, I have planned to meet him next week and go through the pics with him, as you can probably guess the next couple of week are going to be rather busy for Sa-da-ko.
Anyway that’s about it for now, can’t really give you much more info as a lot if it is a bit hush hush.
London “experts claim that they are beating Swineflu Zombie Strain H1N1, below is an article from the BBC………
11th September 2009
(AFP) – 9 hours ago
LONDON — Britain is "tantalizingly close" to beating Zombie Swine flu or Zwineflu as it known on the street, the chief medical officer said, as figures showed the death toll had risen by five hundred over the past week to 170,355. Unveiling plans to double the numbers of intensive care beds to cope with the unexpected surge in cases during the coming winter months, Liam Donaldson said the death toll for the current pandemic was relatively low.
"We are tantalizingly close to being able to win the battle against this pandemic virus.” "Tantalizing does not mean we can always get there but we are still fighting," he added. Figures out Thursday showed 504,332 courses of antivirals had been handed out in England, where 5132 people are now in hospital with swine flu, of whom 823 are in intensive care.
There were an estimated 3,000 new cases of Zwine flu registered in the past week -- the lowest figure to date. Donaldson told BBC television. "Flu viruses behave unpredictably and this one's no different.” "We're pretty confident that we will see an upsurge in the autumn and winter when our flu season starts."
Meanwhile Professor John Beddington, the government's chief scientific adviser, said Britain could effectively make its last stand against strain Zombie H1N1 within weeks.
"You can get the infected coming back in a number of waves but it's likely that the next one will be larger than any subsequent ones," he said.
"What is likely to happen will depend on a number of things, firstly the number of unreported cases,
"Whether it comes in late October and at a fairly high level, or in more moderate waves later in the year, is hard to predict."
The infection started yesterday, 2 of my friends are gone. 25 people have joined the battle,
They say its headed this way I believe that the 30th of October will be the end.
All survivors must report to Drakes at 9pm, there will be prizes to be won but only to survivors, giveaways including Zombie dvds, Survival Supplies etc.
Sa-da-ko, Risedeadman & more bands will supply entertainment during the apocolypse.
It seems ironic that my birthday would be on the day the earth ends.
Swine flu is a lie!! The dead are returning to life…………………………………this is not a drill!! There is a safe house, 30th October, we have water, Liquor and Protection Sa-da-kO, Risedeadman & More.
More news will follow. Keep posted and set channel to www.twitter.com/sadako01 Everything you know will be gone. Everything you know will be gone. Everything you know will be gone. Everything you know will be gone. Everything you know will be gone. Everything you know will be gone.
We are still hard at work at the moment in Aku Studios adding guitar tracks to the album, while J tunes up the old axe, I thought I would do a bit of an update.
Well to be honest we are running a little behind schedule, we are now looking to launch around Halloween, fingers crossed!! The album is really coming together and it’s all starting to sound amazing so much so it’s probably the greatest thing we’ve done so far and finally it’s good to see the fruits of the last 8 months finally coming together.
So that’s the audio coming together what about the visuals?
Well Tim from Dunloe productions is still working hard on editing the video for “rEd” and we are currently in talks about a 2nd video for another track off “zero one”, we’ve seen 2 drafts on the video and its all starting to come together quite nicely, we are really keen to show other people what’s been going on behind the scenes but at this stage I’m going to have to slap your hand like a naughty child!!
Other visual shenanigans, such as photos and a few bits of art work are currently being helped along by the guys over at the Dept of Design, in fact last week we gathered together all of our belongings and headed out over to a place near Churchtown just as the sun started to head down. The weather wasn’t great but I think it helped a long nice shoot and really added to the drama of the area. Below is a selection of shots taken on the day, they are pretty raw and haven’t really been touch up yet but it gives you an idea of what we see before it goes to the next stage.
I’ve been so busy I haven’t been able to get anywhere near the internet, but hey I’ve managed to get 3 seconds of time to put together this blog.
Sa-da-kO is going well and the video is coming along nicely we filmed some extra footage last Sunday and there is a few more ides we have to go in there, I’ve got a load of pictures to upload but I want to save them for next week, by then I will have a bit more solid news and I’ll be able to give you an idea of the release date, all I can say is that it is starting to shape up pretty well.
So what do I talk about?
As well as being exited about all the developments within Sa-da-kO, Were all pretty excited about a lot of cinema releases coming up.
Tron legacy or T2on Being a child of the 80’s I personally loved the feel of the original movie, it seems the new film as adopted the slick neon on black colour scheme (a look I wanted to have in our very own Aku Studios) and brought it straight to 2010. If you haven’t seen the original you haven’t experienced the 80s, I think it’s time to wipe the dust off the space invaders machine and put on the Goonies cos God dam it this looks good!!
Avatar Anyone who has been to my house has probably seen my collection of Aliens figures, Memorabilia and DVDs and also probably knows I’m crazy about a lot of James Cameron’s Sci-fi work, Not that the plot or scripts have anything to do with it but mainly because the films he works on have a style all of their own. Well jimmy’s back and this time he back doing what he does best, if you’ve not heard of this film it defiantly has to be on your “must see” list.
Remakes Too like a remake or to not like a remake that is the question, There is a lot coming our way next year 2 in particular are either going to piss me off or I’m going to love them more than the original, but let’s be honest its more likely going to be the latter. The 2 films I’m talking about are of course, Clive Barkers Hellraiser & Wes Cravens Nightmare on Elm Street.
Only time will tell but I can never get my head round why people would revisit a franchise like these unless they feel they can offer something more and not something else, suppose they could always pop Sa-da-kO on the Original Soundtrack!!
But hey what do I know, and I did kinda like Rob Zombies Halloween, anyway I’m off re-paint the Mona Lisa and rebuild the pyramids because they’re getting a bit old. Until next time my friends.
Its 12 noon in a sleepy sea side town in the North West, the old folks have bought ice creams and are enjoying the sun, then from out of nowhere, a van appears and the silence is shattered by the sound of molten metal!!!!
We have overtaken a nightclub decked out like a ski lodge for the afternoon, and we are here to make a noise!!.
Moments later the slavering horde appears, 60 metal hungry monsters all there to be part of something........ Something horrible!!
As you may have guessed already I’m talking about the video shoot for the song “red” (or aka) from the album Zero one, after months of planning filming began at around 12:20 on Saturday the 8th Aug, we arrived in full attire and set the stage for what has been for me the highlight of this year’s work with Sa-da-kO.
Once all the release forms had been filled in and the liability forms had been scribed we pretty much let the guys rip each other to bits while we rocked out the only way we know how.
It was a day that was filled with alcohol, lots of hellyeahs and brutal energy that couldn’t have been created without the help of the Sa-da-kO brood. We met a lot of awesome people and had a lot of fun and just wanted to say again a big thanx from all us to all of our new friends and old ones who appeared on the day.
I’ve put a load more pictures on the facebook fan page and of course I will keep you all updated on the filming as we go on.
