Album "Zero1" on its way from hell!!!

Our Album is out 26th of March and we're currently working at making this available in every corner across the cosmos.
To celebrate we've put a track on here to give you an idea of what to expect, its over on the top right hand side of this very page.

Sa-da-ko at Bloodstock?

The Ship inn & Rock on Preston’s Battle of the Bands tournament concentrated on 16 bands handpicked via MySpace pages of shit loads of bands and took battle over 6 weeks at the ship inn in Preston. The final was a conclusion to a lot of hard work from the media, promoters, and bands and of course the venue itself. And I feel it was this that helped the make the final one of the best gigs we’ve played so far.

The atmosphere was tense and ram packed with, what must have been close to 350 people at one point ,all this and I we got to play with 3 of the most well respected bands in the Preston area, I have to say at this point every band made us feel welcome and offered something completely different to the night.
All three bands need checking out but here’s a bit about them:

In first place was Byanymeans, female fronted metal shanagans with hints of early White Zombie, Alice in Chains and a dash of early Lacuna Coil for good measure, these guys offer a mixed bag of chuggy riffs, catchy melodies and a show that 100% entertains.
3rd Place was taken by Population Four, who are one of the tightest bands I’ve seen in a while and quite annoyingly, they have a habit of writing really catchy songs, as I write this I’m actually humming one of the tracks (Damn you P4!!!)

4th Place was taken by The Dragstip Junkies, heavily influenced by the L.A Punk rock scene, the Junkies put on mean show and have a strong following. I have to say I’m not a major punk fan but I enjoyed their set and found the lead singer to be one of the nicest people I have ever met.
Just before we went on stage Vicky was there from http://www.angelofmetal.com/ interviewing the bands about the night have a listen to the Sa-da-kO Interview, see if you can tell if were nervous or not.

On Tuesday we venture back into Manchester’s Grand Central to enter another battle, but for a totally different prize. Can we win a place on this year’s Bloodstock & Wacken festivals?

Make sure you keep checking the http://www.angelofmetal.com/ for updates on all the bands in the competition during the Battle for Bloodstcock.

Wish us luck!

More Sick Ass Metal From The UK

So, it’s been an odd month for us here at Sa-da-kO central, so much so I want to fill this blog choc full of things we’ve been up to recently.

Our first major piece of excitement comes from the chaps at the Shipp inn over in Preston, it seems we’ve only gone and found ourselves in the final of their very own battle of the bands competition. This means that we now face four awesome bands on March 6th to win a whole load of band goodies.

We’ve had nothing but technical problems since we started the comp with my guitar breaking on several occasions and I’ve convinced myself that the track “red” is cursed. I personally am looking forward to going all the way through a set there and showing what we are truly made of. (I can’t help but think I’ve jinxed the whole thing by typing that)

Quickly moving on.......

I mentioned not too long ago about playing a benefit gig in Southport on behalf of the Southport Haiti Buskathon, this comprised of about 20 bands and covered the weekend of the 27th and 28th February all in aid of raising as much money as possible for aid and relief of the area. We've been a guest on Dune Fm with Martian Hovden and managed to play right in the middle of Southport on a Saturday afternoon. The turnout was emence, with over 200 people sticking around and watching us metal up Southport town centre and it wiil always be remembered as the day we had a mosh pit on the towns streets.

I hope the team who have worked so hard for the charity see the comeback from donations and pledges, don’t forget it’s still not too late to donate to this cause.

Last but certainly not least of all we’ve been over in Manchester this week playing for the mad’eads in Grand Central this is the last time we see this city for 2 weeks before we begin our battle for bloodstock, this is where a whole host of metal bands fight it out for a spot on the prestigious Bloodstock festival and Wacken faestival.

Vicky over at “Angel of metal” is covering the event and has included us in her Podcast this week, try and stay tuned and follow how we get on and maybe with a bit of luck my guitar won’t break.

Till next time \m/
