Sa-da-kO - Incassum - Pray for Your Sins at Manchester' Grand central

Before I start this blog I'm going to mention, I have always loved Manchester, The place has always had a good vibe about it, there's a strong metal scene here and a lot of sub-culture about and in a lot of ways it beats Liverpool hands down on having a strong underground scene.
So as you can imagine I was a little worried about playing Grand Central mainly because I had heard that there was a tough crowd here, but saying that I have to say the people of Manchester couldn't have been more welcoming.
From the offset I found that the promoter (Mark) and sound crew really wanted the bands to do well, they did their best to ensure that the night went well and the crowd were kept happy, So with that in mind I'm raising my goblet to the crew at Grand Central last night and everyone one who came and checked us out.

The bands themselves were quality and I would recommend anyone who follows homegrown metal to check these out, first up was Pay For Your Sins:

These chaps are from just down the road from us and its always nice to meet some fellow Merseyheads out and about, They love fast riffs, big choruses and heavy Breakdowns. In fact they say themselves that they're everything you would want from a metalband!! if you like killwitch engage and like your metal with a side order of rythmic chugging you will love these guys.
Were due to play with these again in December at Drakes Bar in Southport on the 18th December so come and show your support.

Incassum headlined last nights shanagans, they have recently released there album through casket records produced by Andy Giblin are a tight band, they tote their influences as Nevermore, Lamb of God, Emperor, Nightwish, Arch Enemy, Iron Maiden, Opeth, Killswitch Engage, Pantera, Black Sabbath and you can here this in there sound, if your can think of a heavyier, better and darker Eveneseance you'll be on the right track. check 'em out and make your own mind up, cool guys and a cool sound.

SA-DA-KO LIVE: Halloween Hell Ride & the Zombie Apocalpyse in Southport
Halloween (also spelled Hallowe'en)[1] is an annual festival celebrated on October 31. It has roots in the Celtic festival of Samhain and the Christian holy day of All Saints, but is today largely a secular celebration.
Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, wearing costumes and attending costume parties, carving jack-o'-lanterns, ghost tours, bonfires, visiting haunted attractions, pranks, telling scary stories, and watching horror films. Thats all very well but let me tell you about this Halloween:
For us it was an end of a months hard work of planning and promoting and getting our name about as well as enjoying gigging with old friends of ours RISEDEADMAN. The Liverpool based metal band have been out of action for a while , due to a department of their long time drummer Ste Davis, but it was nice to have the lads back with a new drummer and ready to bring their unique sound to local haunts.
I've put the pictures on the SA-DA-KO facebook page as there is far to many to put here so if you get a minute check em out, they look great.
Gotta go for now I'm afraid as I'm off work at Aku Studios at the moment and intend to get ahead with this album as much as I can.
Next stop Manchester's Grand Central with Incassum on Nov the 12th, See you there

The Day we all Die

Ive had to stop recording the album, it hardly seems worth it now, we must fight to survive!
Ive sent this to the other survivors today:
More and more Survivors are joining the fight and things are gathering momentum for the night looks like there could be a war on the horizon, but how do we combat them?
On Friday head down to Drakes, dress as one of them crazies it’s the best way to sneak passed them, their aggressive but dumb as hell. We’re going to need to check you for infection when you get here, it’s just a precaution but if we’re going to beat this we’ve got to be able to get rid of any chance of the infection spreading.

Saturday we fight back!!! we need combat gear and weapons, lots of weapons! Doesn’t worry the drink will make you stronger, we’ve got the old man mixing up a cocktail of cure and adrenalin, and I’ve had some it makes you feel like you can take on elephant.
Signs are beginning to show as we slowly edge toward Armageddon. Last week there was an article in the champion about swine flu on the rise, the lies are starting and the UK is starting to crumble, I will try and contact you again but the web is unsecure, look for the man and the sandwich board for more information.
I pray this is taken seriosly!! Im going to scope out the safe house tonight and look for places to hide, the man with sandwich board will be the key!!

Day 6: Drakes Bar, The Natural choice for survival

Day6
Why Drakes Bar is the natural choice for a safe house?
Ok there is a reason for this, the building itself is very high and well built meaning that when the undead rise up, the building itself will create maximum protection against the horde.
Professor James Talbot of Southport’s research laborites, Kensington rd said “the infrastructure of Drakes unique Victorian design will be a safe and strategically sound choice in the event of Armageddon. And the tunes and drinks will be wicked awesome and banging!”

Drakes on the night will be protected by security staff protecting the perimeter, we know that this place will most probably be the epicenter of where the zombies will filter too due to large amount of people that gather on West street during a Friday & Saturday evening.
The technical drawing below shows various points of entry during the zombie attack, it may be wise to dress as a zombie on the night to make it easier to sneak passed the undead, just make sure you make the guards aware that you are alive be shouting the password “braiiiiiiiiiins.”

It seems Ironic that the end of the world will be on my birthday.

Zombie Apocolypse - Day1

The infection started yesterday, 2 of my friends are gone. 25 people have joined the battle,
They say its headed this way I believe that the 30th of October will be the end.
All survivors must report to Drakes at 9pm, there will be prizes to be won but only to survivors,
giveaways including Zombie dvds, Survival Supplies etc.
Sa-da-ko, Risedeadman & more bands will supply entertainment during the apocolypse.
It seems ironic that my birthday would be on the day the earth ends.
